Jason Bennett
Founder & Executive Coach, Divergent Potential
I spent 25+ years in technology leadership – software engineer to VP-level roles across three continents – before discovering, late, that I’m AuDHD. Suddenly a lot of things made sense: why leading at a senior level had always cost me more than it appeared to cost my peers, why the standard advice never quite worked, and why I’d built an entire career on systems I’d secretly reverse-engineered for a brain nobody had told me I had.
When I went looking for support after my diagnosis, I found a gap you could drive a truck through: neurodivergent coaches who’d never sat in a board meeting, and executive coaches who thought ADHD meant losing your keys. Divergent Potential exists to close that gap. I’ve since coached more than 150 senior leaders and executives across the UK, Europe, and the Americas – based in Oxfordshire UK, working globally.
My clients are directors, VPs, founders, and senior professionals who are late-diagnosed – or self-recognised – as ADHD, autistic, or both. They’re not looking for colour-coded calendars. The work is leadership work: who you are as a leader now the diagnosis has reframed the last twenty years, managing energy rather than time, board and stakeholder dynamics, career moves at senior level, and building an operating model for your leadership that fits how your brain actually works – instead of masking your way through one that doesn’t and paying for it every Friday night.
One area where I go deeper than most is the AuDHD experience – where the autistic and ADHD profiles pull in opposite directions, and the strategies that serve one quietly overdraw the other. Most coaching addresses one profile at a time; AuDHD leaders need an approach built for the interaction between them. That thinking runs through everything my practice is built on – including the Energy & Engagement Framework, which retires conventional prioritisation models in favour of one that works with ND cognition – alongside evidence-based strengths profiling and structured mental fitness work: understanding what you’re naturally built to do well, and building the self-management to do it under pressure.
And this is executive coaching in the full sense: ICF-credentialed, certified in ADHD coaching through ADDCA, and completing Advanced Coaching Practice at Henley Business School en route to my MSc in Coaching for Behavioral Change. Everything discussed is confidential – and that’s not boilerplate. For many of my clients, it’s the only reason they can say the quiet parts out loud.
If you’re leading at a senior level with a brain that works differently — diagnosed or not — I’d be glad to talk,
