Jay Loomis
Jay Loomis, Coach, LLC
The most important thing I bring to coaching is empathy. I strive to understand my clients deeply and to value their strengths, even when they don’t see them themselves. My practice isn’t about standardized tips and tricks or quick fixes. We will strategize for the challenged of the moment, to be sure, but the lasting work is about self discovery and self acceptance. Only by understanding your brain and choosing to love it, perhaps despite the parts of it that can get in your way, can you find the life you want with neurodiversity.
I bring my whole self to coaching. That means approaching the often heavy work with warmth, humor, and sometimes irreverence. True to my ADHD, I have a breadth of past experiences in many disciplines, including software, communication, creative writing, various arts and crafts, management, and most important of all, games and shared storytelling. My background gives me many inroads for understanding and context that help me to connect with and see the richness of my clients.
I’m a caring and, I hope, fun partner for thinking through the challenges you face. I will do my best to inject compassion and kindness into your daily practices, while helping you to challenge yourself to live the life you want. You’re only as powerful as the stories you tell yourself about your life. Come coach with me to learn to tell the best stories to get you where you want to go!
