Hi! So glad you found the ACO directory to help you on your coaching journey. There are many of us here, so now your job is to decide who is a good fit for you. Here’s some information about me to help you determine if we would work well together. And of course, I offer a free discovery call so you can get a better sense of me via one-on-one conversation.

I grew up with no idea I had ADHD. All the signs were there, but no one knew how to read them. My teachers repeatedly said that I would be an excellent student if I would “pay attention,” “try harder,” “focus,” etc. I still managed to get into an excellent university and had a good GPA. But all my assignments were completed at the last minute, barely.

Now I know that our ADHD brains let us focus if we’re interested in the topic. So I got As in my favorite classes. My early jobs fit the same profile. While the job was new and challenging, I excelled. Once I’d learned the job and had to start repeating tasks, I was so bored I couldn’t bear it.

Like many women, I was diagnosed late. In my case, it was after I became a parent. My executive functioning was barely adequate for me to manage my own life. Now I was supposed to be in charge of two small kids, too!? I was constantly overwhelmed. As the kids grew I learned they both had ADHD and autism; without meaning to, I’d become a subject matter expert on AuDHD as well as ADHD.

This is how I found my way to ADHD coaching and eventually to becoming a coach myself. I know this life; its ins and outs, highs and lows. I love working with our population. I find ADHDers and AuDHDers to be intensely creative and utterly fascinating, full of heart but often hurting. My clients tell me they appreciate the safety and understanding I offer and can say things to me they’ve never told anyone. Together, we explore their challenges, their hopes, their gifts. I take different roles: sounding board, cheerleader, facilitator, interviewer. My goal is to help you find and achieve your own goals. I bring a big toolkit, lots of experience, and deep compassion.

I hope to talk with you in a discovery call, but more than anything, I hope you find a coach who is an excellent match for you.
